How To Experience

It was only a year ago that the word “miracle” was barely part of my vocabulary. Of course, I’d heard of miracles – but felt they were big, huge “parting of the sea” type of things that happened only to other people, or at least people of some high, holy status. Not so much for everyday folks like me.

How wrong I was! Because over the past year I’ve experience more miracles in my life – and observed more miracles in other peoples lives – that I’m constantly in awe of experiencing these Divine surprises!

So, to help you experience more miracles in your life, let’s start with this definition of the word miracle…

mir-a-cle (noun) A surprising and welcome event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is considered to be divine.

Wooo hoooo! I love this definition and want to help you experience more of this in your life. I’ll do that by sharing the steps I took to open myself to receiving more miracles.

1 Surrender Mira

your life. And, see what you can do to let go of your grip and make room for a miracle.

2 Pray

Holy smokes – this was a tough one for me. In my experience, I came to befriend surrender by being thrown to my knees, and feeling helpless and hopeless like never before. It was not something I consciously invited, but something my soul was crying out for – to truly let go and let God guide my life.

The good news is, surrender doesn’t need to come in the form of a devastating challenge, you can make the choice each day to surrender your own will and trust in Divine will. Yes, it can be scary, but it’s also the most liberating thing you may ever do. So, take a look at where you are holding on, or trying to control the events of

August/September 2012

The only way I could stay in a place of surrender was to pray for the strength to do so every single day. I was aware of the desire of my personal will to come back in and take over control (it still does), and I’m clear that on my own I don’t have the strength to continue letting go. Yet, offering a sincere prayer always makes the path to surrender more painless and graceful.

If you’re having trouble surrendering control in some are of your life, take the time to write or speak (verbally or in your heart) your prayer to be given the strength and courage to let go. I know you can do this, but please don’t try to it on your own. Ask for help from the Source that you pray to… it is there for you right now.
