RVTPublisher’s Healthy Life & Times:
My dear RVT Readers, I’ve been having busy
times this spring! First, I want to congratu-
late Jan vonHeyking of Pent- icton who won the clown doll at the fi rst ever BC Interior RV Show on the fi rst weekend in May. Jan’s name was
drawn by Rose Mary Wells of Happy Campers Toilet Chemicals who had a booth close to mine. T at was one fun RV Show. Over 10,000 folks attended and
that surprised everyone! Huge success. A small group of exhibi- tors got together each evening aſt er the Show to have dinner and then met again each morning to do breakfast. Nice bonding went on. I also had a chance to re-connect with a gal who used to be an Avon Sales Manager with me, way back when. Sheri- lynn and I ended up at the Lost Moose Lodge for a BBQ dinner aſt er the Show ended on Sunday. It is at 2301 Beaverdell Road, past the Penticton Speedway, on a mountainside, and worth the drive (and the ribs!) She also took me out to Naramata for an ice-cream and tour. Pretty area! You know, I caught the 7 a.m. ferry going over to the Mainland
and was in Penticton by 2, aſt er stopping at Teldon Printers in Richmond to pick up the extra RV Show bundles. And coming home I leſt Penticton at 7 a.m. and stopped in Keremeos to have breakfast, getting to the Victoria ferry terminal by noon. My Isa- genix snacks and energy drinks kept me going with ease! Next RV Show will be the Snowbird RV Show,
at the Abbotsford Tradex, on September 27-30. Finished up a teddy bear doll for my booth draw. Second weekend in May, I participated in the Sooke Lions’ Duck Race major fundraiser for children! I bought fi ve tickets but my ducks didn’t make the top win- ners spots this year. Maybe next year. T e fi remen put up an infl ated fi retruck for the kids so I spent the aſt ernoon helping to run that “booth”. Even
tried the jumping myself, but only enjoyed it a bit, not a lot! T e Lions had a car in the May 21st Victoria Day Parade and
a few of us braved the rainy weather and walked behind the car from the Mayfair Mall to the Empress Hotel down- town. In the photo, beside the car is Jane Beddows and behind it from leſt to right are Margaret Bailey, Pat Phil- lips (waving), and me (in the green jacket holding the pink umbrella!) Josie Masi was

there too, but busy giving out treats to the kidlets on the side- lines. We all had a good time waving to the folks watching! My 65th birthday on May 25th came and went and was pain- free! Imagine that! Told my Mom I had a bit of a hard time get-
ting my head around being 65 and still work- ing and still single and being OK with both! T ree of my Isagenix friends took me out to dinner that included a delicous chocolate cake shown in the photo above! Special thanks to Bev, Viv, and Brian! I had a chance to celebrate with family earlier in the month so the event was well celebrated.
Now a MAJOR CHANGE for all of us! I received notice from Teldon, the printer, who has been print-
ing the magazine for us for years now, that their company had just been SOLD so they would not be able to print anymore magazines! I was told this the week of going to press and I went into panic mode! When I regrouped, and thought things through, I decided to
change things around and for the July/August edition AND the November/December edition there will ONLY be online free editions. No more printed copies for those two editions. T e other four editions go with me into RV Shows so YES,
they will still be printed AND be online too. Every current subscriber will have two extra editions ADDED
to their subscription. Be sure to check out the new lower sub- scription prices on page 63 for the future four paper editions. T e two online-only editions (July/August + November/De-
cember) will have extra pages, larger pictures, more stories and events to please you. So see, there are nice benefi ts to this plan aſt erall! More articles and larger pictures constitute fun stuff - right? I think this edition is wonderful! And an extra HUGE T ank You to all the advertis- ers who stayed in this one! If you don’t have a com-
puter, see if a family member can print this off for you from their computer? Or maybe via the local library? It can be done. Where there’s
a will, there’s always a way. Please stay with me here!
Luv ya, Sheila
