(tip included), with one glass of house wine each. We felt the experience was well worth the money, as the coach was most comfortable, the staff very attentive and the food excellent. Te journey is made at a relaxing speed so that the passing scenery can be enjoyed. If the Wine Train sounds expensive, compare that to the French Laundry Restaurant in Yountville. Tere is a two month reservation list with a minimum of $270 EACH for dinner (wine not included). Giſt Certificates start at $540. Keep in

mind that this restaurant was rated ‘Te Best Restaurant in the World’ in 2003, 2004 and 2006. We passed on dinner.

If you tire of wine testing, the Napa

Valley provides other alternatives. Tey include the Charles M. Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa, the home of Snoopy and Friends (Peanuts), the Robert Louis Stevenson Museum where he wrote, Te Silverado Squatters, the renovated Opera House in Napa and the Culinary Institute of America (formerly the

Christian Brothers’ Winery). In the end, however, it all comes back to the wine. Your last drive should be north along

the picturesque Highway 128, only to discover more wineries including Chimney Rock, Stag’s Leap, Rutherford Hill and Baldacci. Te list seems endless! k
