#3 jASoN HATHAWAy HOMETOWN: Appin, Ontario // BIRTHDATE: November 22, 1976

SPONSORS/MAKE: Vortex Brake Pads / RockStar Energy Drink / Snap-On Tools / Napoleon Grills / Fast Eddie Racewear / Castrol / Cathcart Trucking / Panavideo – Dodge Challenger SRT

NOTABLE: This former CASCAR Rookie of the Year (2006) broke his wrist in an accident on the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park road course in 2011, his injury some- what hampering his performance during the busy middle part of the season. Despite his problems, Hathaway finished the year in ninth place overall with one top-five re- sult (a runner-up finish at Barrie Speedway) and five top-tens. With the departure of Don Thomson Jr. from the E.H.R team, Hathaway will be now fronting a one-car ef- fort in 2012. Craig (Grunt) Masters will return as crew chief for this year, and will be joined over the wall by new car chief and racing wrench Gary Meade.

QUOTABLE: “With a one-car team, we can put a lot more focus into my racing effort. Both of our cars were new last year, so we’re in good shape with the equipment. Now it’s a matter of staying healthy, and putting to good use what we learned last year.”

#5 Noel doWleR HOMETOWN: Sherwood Park, Alberta // BIRTHDATE: February 17, 1993

SPONSORS/MAKE: EMCO Corporation / Kohler / RHEEM / Praxair / Whitemud Mechanical – Dodge Challenger SRT

NOTABLE: As a rookie in 2011, this son of multi-time CASCAR West champion Kevin, endured an intense learning curve. He took part in 10 events, scoring a sea- son-best, 11th place result on the oval at Riverside Inter- national Speedway. In the yearend tally, Dowler was seated in 15th place overall, tied in points with Pete Shepherd III. Again this year, the 19-year-old will be rac- ing out of the DJ Kennington (DJK) Racing stable.

QUOTABLE: “With one year behind me, it will be a little easier this time around, I know better what to expect and I’ve seen most of the tracks now. I progressed a lot last year, and hopefully we can pick up where we left off. My goal this year is to finish every race, and look to pull in some good, solid top-ten finishes.”

#7 PeTeR SHePHeRd iii HOMETOWN: Brampson, Ontario // BIRTHDATE: August 13, 1986

SPONSORS/MAKE: National Exhaust / Chairs ’R ’Us / United Auto Workers / Bio-X Performance Nutrition – Dodge Challenger SRT

NOTABLE: This former Roush Racing Development Driver ran seven events in 2011, earning one pole position, at Delaware Speedway, and scoring one race victory (at Saskatoon) plus a pair if runner-up results (at The Speedway at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) and Riverside Speedway). Shepherd has only four definite races on his schedule this year, at Delaware, The Speedway at CTMP, and Barrie and Kawartha Speedways. But he is still hoping to put together a sponsorship package that will allow him to do the western swing and the Riverside event.

QUOTABLE: “Of the four tracks I’m locked in to run this year, I’ve had good runs on all of them. We are going to each race looking for a win, that’s the goal every time we unload. We can’t commit to run a full schedule because of our budget, but I’m sure we can be successful wherever we go to.”
