Emerson Network Power launches new UPS systems

Cisco launches Linksys X-series hybrid home wireless solution for consumers

Cisco has introduced the Linksys X-series, a range of hybrid home wireless products that help consumers to simply create a high speed wireless home network that works with both DSL and cable broad- band connections.

The Linksys X-series enables consumers to access the inter- net and enjoy reliable wireless access on all their wireless devices around the home such as laptops, tablets, smart phones, game consoles and Internet ready televisions.

The Linksys X-series is the ideal solution for consumers to go wireless with their fixed broadband connection and for those who want to upgrade to wireless-N. The new hybrid solutions provide consumers with the flexibility to connect to cable and DSL broadband connections when moving to a new home or switching service providers.

Emerson Network Power a global leader in maximizing availability, capacity and ef- ficiency of critical infrastruc- ture, announced the addition of three next-generation UPS systems for large data center facilities in India – the Liebert Trinergy, the Liebert 80-Net and the made in India Liebert SX.

As data center managers seek out new ways to design and support higher densities in smaller spaces, Emerson Network Power is offering the most energy efficient UPS systems currently available for protecting mission critical infrastructure, such as Tier 3 and Tier 4 data centers, from disruptions to mains power supply.

Featuring three industry stand- ard functioning configurations - Maximum Power Control (VFI), Maximum Energy Saving (VFD) and High Efficiency and Power Conditioning (VI) - the Liebert Trinergy is the first such UPS that monitors the environ-

ment and operating conditions of the network to choose the most efficient operating mode. Its high level of flexibility, con- version efficiency of more than 99 percent and adaptability allows the Liebert Trinergy to achieve extraordinary energy savings, first class perfor- mance and maximum power protection.

The launch of Liebert 80-Net follows a technical break- through in semiconductor technology that allows trans- formers in large standalone UPS to be replaced with digital, near instantaneous control of voltage and current - a development with major commercial implications. This breakthrough enables data centers to increase their load by 20 percent providing higher efficiencies and a lower capital expenditure, without taking up valuable floor space. The device achieves a significant 98 percent throughput effi- ciency whilst conforming to all requirements for Tier 4 power protection.
