Sany sets up crawler crane facility

L&T Construction’s Building & Factories IC has won new orders valued Rs. 2592 crore during the first quarter of 2012-2013. In the residential buildings segment, new orders worth Rs. 1206 crore have been secured from leading devel- opers for the construction of multistoried residential tow- ers in Bangalore and Gurgaon including additional work in ongoing projects.


The commercial buildings segment has bagged orders worth Rs. 1165 crore for the construction of a mixed use development, hospital build- ing and other institutional buildings in major cities across India. In yet other de- velopment, new orders worth Rs. 221 crore have been se- cured from leading automobile players for the construction of factories.


Sany Heavy Industry India has set up its first state-of- the- art and fully integrated crawler crane production line in Chakan near Pune. The Consul-General of the Peo- ples’ Republic of China Mr. Niu Qingbao and Mr. Dilip Mohite Patil (MLA) were present at the inauguration, besides Mr. Richard Deng, the Managing Director of Sany India.


“The plant has begun with the production of all popular models of Sany cranes in In- dia. With this state of art plant, Sany aims to achieve higher customer delight through


faster delivery, better product features and wider range of optional attachments,” said Mr Zeng Zhihong, Director of Sales of Sany Heavy Industry India Pvt. Ltd.


The Chakan plant will act as a substitute for import of cranes all the way from China. Sany China holds world record for manufacturing the world’s largest crawler crane i.e. SC- C86000TM (3,600T) and it shows that Sany has mastered the manufacturing compe- tence and technology to inde- pendently produce the world top crawler crane.
