The Diploma includes two modules that are studied online supported by your placement tutor.
• Applied Professional Practice - this module will develop your lifelong learning skills and cover areas such as objective setting, planning, negotiating, demonstrating and reflecting.
• Contemporary Issues in Professional Practice - this module will focus on one area of professionalism in the workplace negotiated between you and the placement tutor.
Masters MA programmes
The Masters programme forms part of a portfolio of Masters provision within the School of Culture and Lifestyle.
Each programme follows a specialist route that culminates in an Independent Scholarship module in a subject area chosen by you, and researched independently with the help of your personal supervisor.
The programmes include business modules that enable you to build upon and strengthen the acquisition or consolidation of critical management knowledge and principles.
Methods of Assessment
The assessment strategy includes a mix of assessments which reflect the nature of the skills you will require for your chosen industry. We use a variety of assessments that include reports, presentations,
practical assessments and assessments that make use of technology enhanced learning such as blogs and wikis.
Duration
This is a full time programme comprising of three stages. Stage one - Eight months studying
Stage two - Eight months paid placement in industry and an opportunity to gain a University Advanced Diploma in Professional Practice.
Stage three - 12 months studying a master’s degrees (subject to successful completion of the bachelor’s degree and any visa requirements)
