Stylos fingerposts complement street furniture for Manchester City Council
Stylos fingerpost units for a regeneration project in the Northenden area of Manchester were supplied by William Smith to replace old timber signs that were at the end of their life. Located between Northenden Golf Course and the M56, the Stylos units provide community signage, with directions to local amenities, to the City Centre, community shopping areas and cycle routes.
To complement other elements of a total package of new street furniture that was installed as part of this project, William Smith produced the fingerposts in gloss black with gold lettering and featuring a ‘Polo mint’ cap.

William Smith was chosen in a competitive tender for this project for the quality and cost of the Stylos product as well as its capability to achieve on-time delivery.
“Fast turnaround was required and we completed and delivered within the council’s designated ‘window’” says William Smith’s Marketing Manager, Chris Bradley.
“We were more than happy with our working relationship with William Smith, which was exemplary,” says a spokesman for Manchester City Council. “We received personal service and were always able to speak to the right person straight away.”
