April 6–9 Children’s Festival, Dover Castle
A chance for youngsters to travel back in time to discover the skills and tricks of the trade of characters from the past. Take part in children's plays, learn circus skills, jesting and have a go at junior jousting. 10am – 5pm.
April 7 Easter Bunny Hunt Trosley Country Park, Meopham
Come along to the park and hunt for the elusive Easter Bunny. Follow the trail clues, solve the puzzle and be rewarded with a prize from the Easter Bunny. Drop in between 11am-3pm, £5 per child.
April 7-9 Medway Festival of Steam & Transport
Historic Dockyard, Chatham This year not only has a special railway theme, but will be bigger and better than ever for its 10th anniversary. Joining the varied assortment of specialist vehicles that visitors have come to know and love over the past 10 years will be a new Steampunk village, a folk and blues music stage and an Airfix make and take activity.
April 8 – May 31 Spring Flowers Hole Park Gardens, Rolvenden
Visitors will be captivated by one of the most spectacular displays of bluebells in the country, when millions of these beautiful flowers come into bloom across its gardens and woodland. The seating on the circular bluebell walk offers visitors peace and quiet to reflect and enjoy the intense carpet of blue. The recently restored Ice House can also be discovered on the bluebell walk. Before the bluebells come into flower, visitors can see an impressive display of daffodils and
narcissus, primroses and blue scillas, followed by camellias, magnolias and other early flowering spring bulbs.
April 8 Tonbridge and Malling Ramblers Walk Barming, Nr Maidstone
Meet at 10.30am, at the rear of the Bull Inn car park, East Barming, for a 5 mile circular walk, graded moderate. Dogs welcome. Details from walk leader: 01622 727785.
