for online, Facebook and I tweet regularly @SkyNewsNaz with the latest forecasts. It’s a busy non-stop shift but I love it. It really keeps you on your toes and wakes you up.” Despite her hectic

Her first job was in Bristol as a runner on Endemol’s Deal or No Deal. “After a few months I landed a job in production at ITV West News and I was asked to present the weather after six months,” said Nazaneen. “I did some training and worked there for just under two years before moving to my home town of Tunbridge Wells to work at BBC South East as one of their weather presenters. “Again I did lots of meterological training and then

just over a year ago, I was contacted by the bosses at Sky News to work for them. Since I made the move I haven’t looked back.” Her first encounter with

Sunrise breakfast show colleague Eamonn Holmes was as a teenager when he was doing a charity auction event on The Pantiles around 10 years ago. She queued up with her

younger brother to meet him and asked if he would say hello to her mum the next morning on TV – which he duly did. The Sky studio is in Isleworth and Nazaneen lives just 15 minutes away. On work days, her alarm goes

off at 4am but, fortunately, she has always been a morning person. “I wearily get up and get ready to leave the house for 4.30am. The first thing I do when

I get into my office is to look at all the latest data as well as making my on air graphics,” she says. “Once I know the weather story for the day I head

into make-up where the lovely ladies there make me look human again! I am out of there by 6am ready to do my first forecast for Sky Sports, as well as a morning forecast for online, the ipad, the iphone and the red button. At 6.30am is my first on air appearance for Sky News Sunrise and from then on I am live every half hour on our amazing 14 metre weather wall until 9am – or 10am at weekends. “However, in between that I am continuously

recording further weather forecasts for Heathrow express, skynews.com, the iPad and iPhone app. I also do a ski report in the winter and pollen report in the summer. As well as that I also write a forecast

schedule, Nazaneen always looks amazing and has developed her own style, opting for well-cut dresses. “I love my fashion as much as the next girl does, “ she says. “I love wearing dresses that are simple as I believe this is the key to elegance. I’ll wear anything from high street to high end, as long as it’s simple and well cut. I don’t like wearing anything too fussy.” When she’s off duty, Nazaneen enjoys shopping,

as well as getting out into the Kent countryside. “It’s no secret I love shopping, so one of my favourite places has to be Bluewater shopping centre,” she says. “I also love going on long walks or picnics when the weather is good. One of my favourite places for that is Ide Hill. “To relax I love going on refreshing walks in the

countryside and Kent is the perfect place for this. Cycling around Bewl Water in the summer is also something I do once a year with my brother. “I also love roaming around old castles and their

grounds. Leeds Castle is a favourite of mine.” So what tips would Nazaneen give to any youngster who is dreaming of following in her footsteps into television? “Get as much work experience as possible,” she says, “and always be positive!”
