Fountain beverages take to the skies
Until now, the airlines had no choice but to provide their passengers soft drinks from bulky, heavy cans and bottles. This is not only the most expensive method but creates many additional problems both on and off the flight
Dynamo Beverage Company, LTD. presents the first patented CO2 powered drink cart for the airline industry. The Dynamo Drink Cart currently holds certification from FAA, EASA and Transport Canada and is certifiable by aviation regulatory authorities worldwide.
The Dynamo Drink Cart guarantees a fresh quality drink every time. The patented technologies ensure and maintain the drink manufacturers’ taste and carbonation standards regardless of brand selection at 50 percent of the current beverage costs.
The system utilises the beverage cart the airline is currently using. Only a small inexpensive modification to the aircraft water system to accommodate a water refill adaptor is required to begin enjoying the cart. No other galley modifications are necessary. Passengers are already comfortable and familiar with the quality of a fountain beverage. The Dynamo Drink Cart will provide 150 drink servings with 10
selections, both carbonated and non-carbonated juice drinks before servicing. Refilling is accomplished in the galley by the flight attendant and literally is completed in minutes with only a flip of a switch. On the smallest of commercial aircraft, the elimination of cans and plastic bottles is a weight reduction of more than 200 pounds and to a larger aircraft the savings is as much as 700-800 pounds. With this system you need only to carry the syrup, you are already carrying the water.
The Dynamo drink cart also improves the flight attendant work environment. No bending, searching for drink cans in a drawer or worse - having to leave the cart and return to the galley to get more supplies. Additionally, there is no more wasteful discarding of partially consumed drink cans as is common today. Most airlines end up throwing out 15-20 percent of their less frequently-requested canned beverage selections opened during flight. No more heavy lifting of trash bags and dealing with onboard waste storage problems are eliminated. Water quality on commercial aircraft has long been an industry concern. With the airlines’ compliance of the 2009 regulation of the Safe Drinking Water Act, and Dynamo Beverage Company’s triple filtered water, Diamond Clear, in the cart itself, the result is even better than bottled water at no additional cost and eliminates the need to carry plastic bottles completely. Warehouse costs are reduced in both the catering facilities and at the airlines smaller supply stations. Re-supply points at en- route stops are eliminated. Using The Dynamo Drink Cart and the loading of syrup once a day at the beginning of the flight segments
reduces en-route caterer handling costs as well.
The Dynamo drink cart system
provides benefits from fuel efficiencies gained from weight/waste reduction on the aircraft to increased customer service provided by a superior beverage service. With a 50 percent reduction in overall current beverage costs and a full warranty on parts (excluding
consumables), the switch to the Dynamo Drink Cart makes sense.
