CLASS NOTES
started a new job at Technicolor in the Digital Delivery Group where I work as an analyst setting prices for the myriad of digital media services Technicolor provides to content owners. I don’t get a chance to travel back to the Northwest very often, but if any of my old friends are ever in my area, feel free to look me up on Facebook and G+, or at marcotte.

Matt Berman ’93 I live in Israel, and on Saturday night I
woke up at 3 a.m. to watch the Oregon- Stanford game. The sleep deprivation I am suffering today is totally worth it!
Jessica MacMurray Blaine ’93 This fall, Jessica knocked her house
down, opened a bar, and dressed up like a witch. Melissa Berwind ’93 and her three little blond girls—Aya, Ena, and Lulu—joined the fun.
Laura Wallace Cox ’93
I took the Tube to work in steel-toed safety boots. They even had midsole protection.
Cameron Das (Freres) ’93 Cameron Das (Freres) is currently
living in Seoul, Korea, and went to the OES gathering there recently. He is attempting to wrap his head around
Angella Graves ’93
Angella has reached a point in her life where she refuses to pay retail for anything, including and especially basic essentials, like toothpaste. Nothing brings her heart greater joy than complementing a manufacturer’s coupon with a store coupon for a product that is already on sale. Although free is a very good price, a money-maker deal is what brings tears to her eyes. Her years at OES have made Angella the savvy shopper that she is today. Angella currently resides in Hillsboro with her family.
Ross Harris ’93
Ross gave up looking for lost coins and pencils in
Marcotte Anderson ’93 with his wife, Caroline, and sons Liam, left, and Ethan.

another language without going crazy. BTW, if you have an interest in exotic goods, art, furnishings, clothing, etc., and happen to be in the Pittsburgh area, please visit the store “Shizen.”
Christian Floerkemeier ’93 Christian is sitting on the Red Line
and is rocking out to David Hasselhoff’s latest album.
Meraiah Foley ’93
Greetings from Sydney, Australia. It’s been a while since I contributed to the OES Magazine. I have been compiling a photographic portfolio of strange architecture and dealing with a case of head lice my 3-year-old son picked up while attending preschool during a family trip to Uruguay. I have also been wiping rice cereal and mashed apple from the walls and carpet ever since my new baby, Eden, started eating solids two weeks ago. Domestic bliss.
his house for lack of a magnetometer.

Lisa Hayward ’93
Lisa recently moved her family into an 80s townhouse in a DC suburb and is thinking about starting a blog.
Kevin Holliday ’93 Lifer Kevin Holliday reports that he
recently received a voice message from Adam Price ’93. It turns out that Adam was having a dinner guest the following evening that shares the same debilitating disease as Kevin: celiac. Now you might think that Adam could have simply Googled “gluten free recipes” for celiac-friendly menu suggestions. Sadly, Adam’s laptop was out of power and the cord was, tragically, all the way upstairs! But, all’s well that ends well. Kevin tells us that Adam’s guest ate gluten free. Go Aardvarks!
Elena Jakubiak ’93
Elena is happily living outside Boston, Massachusetts. This past summer she had a visit from her aunt, retired OES faculty member Bonnie Stanke, and occasionally sees her cousin, OES alum David Stanke ’94, now a rock star (
www.janitorsband.com). She and her husband recently purchased a minivan (but at least it is a black minivan). She’s looking forward to the bitter New England winter so she can go snowboarding, ice skating, and sledding.
Shilla Kim ’93
Currently between continents, Shilla is most appreciative of paved roads. She misses arugula like the desert misses the rain. She is now somewhere in Skånegatan, thinking of Björn Borg.
Nora Kobos ’93
Nora is kicking herself for checking out the Broadway Kids CD from the library, but she can’t help but smile when her 3-year-old sings along to “It’s the Hard Knock Life.”
