book on Andrew Carnegie, created five historical paper dolls, and helped organize and taught at teacher work– shops and a poetry reading. In 2010, I was awarded the museum’s Volunteer of the Year award. Also, I have been a co-leader of the Clark County/ Vancouver MS Self-Help Group since 2000.

Ken “Kannes” Noack ’73 I continue to enjoy my 34th year

in my career of self-employment in the arena of land and retail real estate brokerage in the Sacramento, California, region. My second job as president of the Rotary Club of Sacramento is all-consuming but only for a year. I am looking forward to another epic season of snow skiing and mountaineering in the Sierra and have just returned from a wonderful trip to Bosnia, whitewater rafting three rivers there. I would love to hear from other classmates at ken. noack@grubb-ellis.com.

teens through the National Leadership Council—a part of Discovery Bound— and spend about a third of the year traveling, putting on national events, and leading a class of 20 teens in the program. They both serve on non-profit boards and enjoy road bike riding. They have two adult sons who live in Portland. Life is good!

Kevin Kraft ’79

The Kraft family is doing well. I’ve been fortunate enough to play some guitar this summer, performing at a cafe here in Menlo Park and opening for a friend’s son’s band on a visit to Portland. I continue to enjoy running and managed to get third in my age group at a recent 5-mile race. The kids are doing the 4S thing: school, soccer, singing (in a children’s choir), and Scouting. My wonderful wife Mary is the force that holds it all together. I’m always happy to hear from my OES classmates and am connected with many of them on Facebook.

1980s Drue Fergison ’81

A number of members of the class of 1981 have converged on Facebook, holding an informal “virtual reunion” the week of our actual 30th reunion. We invite you, if you are interested, to please join us. If we have enough critical mass, we may work toward a class of 1981 Facebook page. Please “friend” Drue Fergison to join in the witty craziness and fun that is still our class. Hoping to see you in cyberspace.

Duane Laun ’84 Time flies. I now have two boys who

are growing up all too quickly: Henry, 5, and Charles, 2. My wife Laura, the kids, and I have been enjoying family activities all summer around Seattle and Portland. We are looking forward to our upcoming trip to Sayulita, Mexico, to visit our friends who are living down there.
