Dow Building Solutions’ manager awarded MBE for services to the insulation industry
J
ayne Law, sales and marketing manager for Dow Building Solutions in the UK and Ireland,
has been made an MBE in the 2012 New Year Honours List for services to the insulation industry. Jayne joined Dow in 1987 as a field sales repre- sentative for STYROFOAMTM
after
previous roles in the construction, cement and concrete industries. Roles as sales and industry specialist followed, before she moved into a European marketing management position for Dow’s insulation. She took up her current role in 2004, alongside sitting on the governing council of the Association for the Conservation of Energy (ACE), a lob- bying and campaigning organisation in the field of energy efficiency. “It was quite amazing to receive
such an honour and to be honest I’m still in shock!” said Jayne. “I’m lucky to be very passionate about what I do, which makes driving for continu- ous improvement in the insulation industry much more than just a job for me – but I must admit this is the icing on the cake and a great start to 2012 for our business!”
