Kloeber opens dedicated London showroom Kloeber UK Ltd opened a dedicated London showroom this month with a fully comprehen- sive range of products on display. Gavin Morris, managing director, said: “The high demand for our products in the London area meant that opening a London showroom had become a necessity. Although our head office is only in Cambridgeshire, clients from the London area and further south now have a much shorter journey to view our full product range. From

the reaction we have had since the opening we have definitely taken the right decision making this investment.” Gavin added: “Not only have we opened the London showroom this month we also moved our head office to larger premises.”

industry news S

tride Treglown Landscape Architecture & Masterplanning teams have joined forces to

create a bright and integrated future for Cardiff’s Capital Square. The new designs for Cardiff Capital Square aim to provide a ‘World class’ desti- nation and a gateway to Wales. Through a comprehensive consul-

tation process with Cardiff Council, Cardiff’s Access and Inclusion forum and local interest groups, the propos- als are set to become exemplar in access and inclusive design. The inspiration for the develop-

ment has included elements from Wales’ industrial heritage. Plans include an 80m long landmark water feature ‘The Taff Wall’, dramatic furnace-inspired red lighting, a green ‘living wall’ stretching 60m and a Welsh Garden replicating the nation’s landscape.

Stride Treglown reveal designs for impressive gateway to Wales

The first phase will focus on

Central Square, with Stride Treglown Architects drawing up plans for a new bus station. The station will be built as part of a larger development made up of a mix of commercial and retail space that provides activity to the public space and convenience for users of the square. The large plaza in front of the railway station is designed to be the ‘heart’ of the project, which will become a popular and memorable destination in its own right. These state-of-the-art improve-

ments will attract investment and new facilities, which will positively contribute to the energy and charac- ter of Capital Square. These enhance- ments will help establish a sense of pride, public ownership and a level of self-policing essential to make this a safe and thriving 24 hour destination.
