Olympic Park shortlist revealed
In the summer of 2011 the Olympic Park LegacyCompany launched a competition to design amajor public space in the Olympic Park. The aimof the scheme is to optimise the Park space once theGames are over. Over 100 entrieswere received fromall across Europe,Asia and NorthAmerica - but now, five designs have been shortlisted. The chosen five design teams
are;Agence Ter (Paris),Gustasfon Porter (London), JamesCorner FiledOperations (London), Ken Smith LandscapeArchitect in collaborationwithMichael MaltzmanArchitecture (California) andWest 8 (Netherlands). Images of the shortlisted designs reveal a diverse and exciting range of
concepts. The images showeach entries’ unique response to the Olympic Park Legacy Company’s brief,whichwas to create a distinctive area that unifies cultural, aesthetic and recreational elements. Public exhibitions are being
held to showcase the shortlisted designs and thewinnerwill be announced at the end of December. AndrewAltman, Chief Executive of the Olympic Park Legacy Company says: "With millions of people expected to visit the Park each year, thiswill be London's newest andmost exiting public space." Drawing the city for charity
Drawings of the City of London by 100 prominent architects have been auctioned for disaster relief charity Article 25. The artworks were created for 10 x 10: Drawing the City, a charitable event organised by architects

whichwill provide essential funds for post-disaster reconstructionwork around the world includingwater and sanitation improvements in Haiti, schools in Burkina Faso, and a vocational training centre for former child soldiers in Uganda. Twenty five lotswere
