LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION
Dubai's many five-star hotels and sophisticated leisure venues ensure event management firms are well catered for when organising events in the emirate
Dubai has fast become a world-class destination for corporate events, with a host of well-equipped venues complemented by cutting-edge infrastructure and technical support. The city itself has become famous for staging events aimed at boosting its profile internationally. From the launch of Atlantis, The Palm to the gala opening of Burj Khalifa, Dubai knows how to throw a party. It is this collective know-how which has made the city a magnet for management firms specialising in corporate events and has spurred the development of an eclectic mix of unique venues across the emirate.
ART SAWA THE PALLADIUM
A multi-purpose venue located in the heart of Dubai Media City, The Palladium, is the first indoor venue of its kind in the Middle East exclusively dedicated to live events. Built at a cost of US$68 million, the venue is geared for everything from large-scale theatre and musical produc- tions, through to rock concerts and operas, as well as exhibitions, banquets, confer- ences and seminars.
The Palladium features cutting-edge technical infrastructure; one of the largest stages in the region, and seating for up to 3,000 guests. Being an indoor venue, the Palladium is a big boost to the local events scene during the traditionally slower summer months in Dubai, when soaring temperatures make staging outdoor events almost impossible. +971 4 3636897

Nestled within the industrial Al Quoz district of Dubai is Art Sawa. The gallery is an important platform for up-and-coming local art, and showcases an impressive roster of artists from around the Middle East and North Africa. But it is also some- thing of a hidden gem as far as venues go, with capacity for 300 guests. The small and understated gallery entrance opens out into a beautiful, light- soaked space featuring a sleek, polished concrete floor and impressively high ceilings. With its typically industrial warehouse charm, the spacious 3,600- square metre venue serves as an ideal canvas for any creative event ideas, or funky underground-style gatherings. A highly professional events team is on hand to help with any organisational needs, and the surrounding artwork is bound to supply some much-needed inspiration.

TRADE CENTRE ARENA, DUBAI INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION AND EXHIBITION CENTRE Another exciting venue option is The Trade Centre Arena, which is located within the Dubai International Conven- tion and Exhibition Centre.
Sheikh Saeed Halls offer 9,000 square metres of space and an indoor arena capable of accommodating up to 10,000 guests. Covering an area equivalent to 34 regulation-sized tennis courts, the pos- sibilities for holding events from product launches to concerts, weddings and official sporting and athletic conventions are multitude.
"As the largest indoor events space in the region, the Arena will attract events from product launches to concerts," says Helal Al Marri, CEO, The Dubai World Trade Centre. "It is a state-of-the-art facility in the centre of the city and adds another dimension to the calendar of events we can host. It offers high technical specifications, is very flexible and its con- nectivity and infrastructure is a big wow." +971 4 3086020
