Support from Country Camping RV: I am writing this letter to show our appreciation for all the help,

support, and great service shown to us from everyone: manage- ment, sales, service and parts, at Country Camping RV in Salmon Arm BC, when it was surely needed. On our fi ſt h wheel we had Country Camping install a new Mo-

toSat Satellite System. Now we were ready to head south. Aſt er about four weeks, the new system stopped working! Aſt er much diffi culty, we fi nally arranged to send back to MotoSat part of the system, at our expense, but it came back and still did not work. We had a tech come and look at it. MotoSat advised us, and the tech, to send them everything off the roof. When we fi nally got it all back again, it went up and down about twice and stopped working again! When we returned to Canada we got in touch with Tom Bry-

ers at Country Camping and he started the ball rolling to get the problem solved. We did not receive any satisfaction with Moto- Sat, so we had a new system by Wineguard Satellite mounted on our unit with Wineguard supplying it free of charge. T ank You Wineguard! Steve Hopkins in the service department at Country Camping

made sure everything went well. T ey did the install for no charge with us staying in our unit on their lot, using their hydro, water and cable! T e new system has worked for four months now and we have had no problems with it. Dealing with Country Camping for us has been nothing but

a positive experience and we recommend them all the time. T e sales staff is great too and everyone there takes great care of all their customers.

Kelowna to Prince Rupert: My husband Jack and I love the magazine Sheila, just like so

many of your other readers. I wanted to write of our three week trip from our home in Kelowna, BC to Prince Rupert, BC.

We took a slow jaunt to Kamloops as Jack wanted to visit the

Wildlife Park. I stayed in the RV with our “girls” Zoe, a two-and- a-half year old Harlequin Toy Poodle, and Zeeta, a four year old black miniature. In the morning we leſt for Cache Creek, or so we thought! Somehow we ended up on Hwy #8, just outside of Merritt. We completely missed the sign, but a scenic drive it was nevertheless. We ended up in Lac La Hache at the Big Country Campground where John welcomed us. We settled in for two days. From there we visited 100 Mile House and went up to 150 Mile and Williams Lake. T e latter we found not to be too tourist friendly! We leſt for Wells and the Cariboo Joy RV Park. Lovely people

and so interesting. T e gentleman at the Frog on the Bog told us more history of the mines, etc., than we had read in all the pamphlets. Aſt er buying mementos, we went on to Barkerville, the fascinating historic town. I found myself looking through the cracks in the fl oors for someone’s lost nuggets! We journeyed on to Smithers, a town with a Bavarian fl avour. Sadly everything was closed on Sunday so we took our photos and drove off to Riverside Golf and RV Park to rest. On to Terrace. We kept seeing signs for moose on the road,

however, aſt er many miles of not seeing any, I started to wonder if it was just another way of making people slow down! We pulled into the Wild Duck Motel & RV Park. It rained right through the night and next day all the way to Prince Rupert. Sadly we missed seeing the mountains and glaciers. As luck was with us, the sun rose up in the morning so it was off to more museums for Jack and the stores of Cow Bay for me. I love that they have painted the big waste containers like black and white cows. Aſt er buying something in nearly every store, we stopped to see Lyle Campbell of the Sta-Sta-Aas Songalth Tribe of the Kaighani People of Haida Gwaii. He has a building in town where he carves masks and totem poles and works in gold, silver, argillite, and print design. It is well worth the visit. Aſt er three lovely days we started to get rained on again so set off to Prince George. We arrived on August 26th

adult location called Southpark RV Park. Jack wanted to visit more museums but as the 27th

and set up at a wonderfully quiet was my birthday, he gave in and

we toured the town instead. We started at the Farmer’s Market to stock up on fresh goodies, then went to visit Angelique’s Native Arts on Dominion Street. Oh boy – what a wonderful shop of
