RV Service on the Island: I have been an RV owner off and on
since the late 80’s from a 35-ſt Beaver to the current 26-ſt 1973 GMC Classic. And, as one can assume, have required
the services of professionals to keep the rigs running. It was not until recently that this service was required locally and it is ‘service’ that prompts me to write. I too am in the service industry, (Real
Estate), so am acutely aware of the varying degrees of service: the diff erence between a successful business built on referrals and the “rest”. With that thought in mind, I would like to inform RV owners, current and potential, of the superb services I have received from the staff and techs at Triangle RV in Sidney, on Vancouver Island. If I were in the market for an RV of any
kind, and knowing the friendly, professional service that I have received from their staff , I would make Triangle the dealer of choice. Sales take a day, service follows for years. I purchased my GMC in Florida, (rare and not available on the Island) so one may expect less than fi rst class service from an RV company that sells RVs. However, aſt er critiquing the job done by the service desk and Mark on the installation of a new 4 Kw Onan Generator, I fi nd that his attention

to detail, and the caliber of the installation was second to none let alone fi nding someone who knows something about these classic machines. It was not an easy job: larger than the original unit with less space and still better than I could ever do myself—even if I knew how! And Triangle stayed on the quoted price although it ran four-plus hours over estimated time. Now that’s rare and deserves to be noted. T is alone deserves a referral but recently
I was back. On the Friday aſt ernoon before the August long weekend I returned with two problems: an un-retractable awning and a leak in the air bag suspension. If you expect to be serviced at that time on 30 minutes notice on the Friday aſt ernoon of a long weekend in August, you would have to be joined at the hip with one of the good looking ladies in the service department. However, within minutes of arriving, the front desk called on Mark and before I could get out back, he was under the rig with a jack working on the bags. T at kind of service is totally unexpected these days, and I was quite fl abbergasted. It was fi nally held up for parts, but the eff ort was extra ordinary and deserves to be noted. It was not only the great service but also the warm friendly staff and the caliber
of Mark’s work that I would like the RV owners to be aware of. I always leave there feeling good. What more can one ask? Whether you live here or are passing

Strange Looking RV:
I took in the Langley Good Times
Cruise-In car show on Saturday. Among all the great cars was a very strange looking RV. I’m not sure if it’s a home-built or a factory-built unit, but it sure is diff erent. Bill Sveinson
