AMERICA’S HORSE IN ART The fourth annual art sale at the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame
Festival of Trees. The program runs from November 29th till January 8th, and invites various community organiza- tions who’s initiatives reflect both past and present museum exhibits to decorate a tree in their specific theme.

The internationally acclaimed “The Horse” exhibit was a huge success last year and the Ontario Quarter Horse Association (OQHA) was supportive of the many programs that supported the exhibit, including tailoring our “Take A Horse To School” program to be run in conjunction with the museum’s Kids
a& Museum in Amarillo continues through November 12. The sale features 33 world renowned Western artists and 89 pieces, including drawings, paintings and sculptures. Proceeds benefit the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame. Go on line to see the full exhibit at

ONTARIO’S CONGRESS YOUTH TEAM
I would like to congratulate all the following members of the OQHA Congress Youth team and say how proud I am to be their advisor. The 2011 Team consists of: Kennedy Almas, from Hagersville, with Gramas Inheritance, showing in Horse- manship. Taylor Bennewies, from Dublin, with Lopin Big Leaguer, in
Summer Camp program, and lecturing on the world’s most versatile breed dur- ing the museum’s Horse Symposium. As a result of it’s participation OQHA has been invited to keep the spirit of “The Horse” exhibit vivid within the museum and decorate one of the twenty-four foot trees in a horse theme this year. “The Horse” exhibit left the muse- um early in 2011 for it’s six month engagement at the Field Museum in Chicago,Il, the exhibit uses spectacular fossils, artifacts, dioramas, and models to show the remarkable ways in which

Heidi Nelson, from Moorefield, and HA Diamond Lady, as well as Sarah O’Grady, from Listowel, with Guess Whos Peppy, will both be competing in Reining. In Hunter Under Saddle, Rian- na Storey, from Cambridge, with Lopin In The Sky and Stephanie Willsey, from Orillia, with Ima Moxie Man will both be competing for Ontario, while Aman- da Thomson, from Oil Springs, aboard

AQHA YOUTH WORLD CUP 2012 I would like to remind everyone that the Canadian Quarter Horse Associ- ation is actively seeking Youth to be a part of the Canadian Team representing Canada at the 2012 Youth World Cup that will take place July 21 to July 29, 2012 in Kreuth, Germany. Please go to their website for information as to eligi- bility and how to apply. Deadline is October 31, 2011, so please act soon.
