Dust in horse arenas can make it

The Ontario Equestrian Federa- tion (OEF) and the Ontario Thera- peutic Riding Association (OnTRA) are proud to announce that they are teaming up to introduce a new pro- gram entitled, “Ribbons for Rides”. The program is available to all thera- peutic riders in Ontario and is there is no cost to participate.

Every time a rider completes any Federation International Equestre (FEI) Para Dressage test he or she will receive a ribbon. For every test completed the participating rider will receive the next placing, for the opportunity to achieve a champion rosette:

Test #1 – eighth place ribbon – brown

Test #2 – seventh place ribbon – pur- ple

Test #3 – sixth place ribbon – pink Test #4 – fifth place ribbon – green

Test #5 – fourth place ribbon – yel- low

Test #6 – third place ribbon – white Test #7 – second place ribbon – blue Test #8 – firth place ribbon – red Test #9 – Reserve Champion rosette Test #10 – Champion rosette

In appreciation of the time and ef for t that riders put into complet- ing ten tests, the OEF is pleased to arrange to have the champion rosettes signed by the rider of the recipient’s choosing! The program is open to all therapeutic riders and all parents, instructors, facilities or rid- ers themselves are encouraged to contact the OEF Office to register for the program. There is absolutely no cost to participate.

Equestrian Management Group (EMG) is generously donating the ribbons and will be providing dona-

tion boxes at competitions held at the Caledon Equestrian Park in 2012. All competitors are encouraged to donate any ribbons of their choosing! Thank you to all those who donated ribbons this year, especially to Wayne McLellan, Scott and Anne McKay and to the group of young girls who made a great effort to track Dianne down at the show!
