The mucky pen at Forest was definitely a challenge and it made the OBRA point show impossible to run but thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make the best of it and partici- pated in a very fun show. Thanks to all who vol- unteered, especially Lisa Scarlett who had to make a tough decision. The Forest Fair commit- tee was very thankful that we put on a super show of barrel racing and horsemanship for the people at the fair to enjoy.
OBRA Finals Oct 14-16th!!!!!
By the time you receive this the OBRA 2011 Finals will be over. We’ll have coverage in the next issue of The Rider. At the Finals both youth races were no longer $200 added, they were now $1000 added EACH!!! Once again thanks to Scott Gray for enthusiastically support- ing our Ontario Youth!!!
OBRA Finals was also to feature a slot race on the Saturday night at REACH in Clinton. $1500 added, $100 entry
fee, 100% payback, maximum 25 horses! Thank you so much to EQUINE BODYWORKS for being the gold sponsor. This was to have a Cal- cutta and bring the finals added money to OVER $11000!!!!!!
2011 OBRA Finals was open to all mem- bers. Memberships were able to be purchased anytime before running at 2011 finals. Points will be awarded only on the basis of those riders that would qualify under the 3 show rule (therefore points are NOT affected by this decision).
