A Tamworth accountant is calling for all businesses to be proactive in their financial modelling following local evidence that the Government’s time to pay (TTP) scheme allowance is dwindling. Martin Crook, partner at Adams Moore, said late payment fines are also getting tougher. He advises that sound business plans and

regular cash flow forecasts must now form an essential part of any managing directors’ planning.

He said: “The scheme was a real helping hand

for businesses. The government, in essence, gave businesses more flexible payment options and more time than would normally be allowed to settle taxes. However, there is evidence now that this is being given less and less to small businesses and this, coupled with the fact that Revenue has really upped its game in imposing tougher fines for late payment, could spell major headaches for many small businesses who have relied on this help.”

‘Prizes include tickets to see Kasabian and back stage passes to Kerrang Live’

As well as promoting the event on air, Kerrang has hand-picked a selection of Midlands bands to play live on the day and into the evening. Prizes include tickets to see Kasabian and

back stage passes to Kerrang Live as well as six weeks free advertising on the Kerrang website – worth £4000. Kirsty Lee, charities manager for Kerrang Radio said: “We expect to raise a great amount for Cash for Kids, especially as Midland Karting is donating everything made direct to the charity.”
