Rugby Academy Matt
Dawson MBE came to play rugby with children
participating on the week long Matt Dawson Rugby Academy, hosted by the Eric Liddell Sports Centre at Eltham College. Matt is England’s most capped scrum half and part of the England squad that took the country to victory in the 2003 World Cup.
The children, aged 7 to 16, had a great time playing some short games with him before having the chance to ask questions and get shirts signed. Matt was even challenged to recreate the drop goal kick that won the world cup in Australia!
The Matt Dawson Rugby Academy course is designed as a coaching programme for beginners through to the advanced, teaching the full range of rugby skills, as well as fi tness sessions and nutritional information. The week is
