coverage. The fans created an amazing atmosphere in their final game at home in the play offs, but the team’s brave effort was just a step too far as they tried to come back from their first leg defeat away to Stevenage. Stevenage went on to beat Torquay in the Old Trafford Final 1—0. Oh what might have been. Manager John Coleman and assistant Jimmy Bell have signed up for a record breaking 13th season and with the experience of last season under their belts will be determined to go that one step further. The Club’s ownership issue has now been resolved and Mr Ilyas Khan is the new chairman. The club are also celebrating a major sponsorship deal with local company, Clever Boxes based in Clayton Le Moors. So everything falling into place and some exciting new signings to strengthen the squad, there is a buzz of excitement as we go into the new season. We will be watching the clubs progress in our usual column in the Local Herald. Come on Stanley.
