August already and we are still waiting for the summer to start. Frank Whittaker, our local meteorologist , has his weather report for us on page 18, and with it raining on St Swithen’s Day it’s not looking good. Also on page 18 is a report on our Best Butty competition and our congratulations go to Katie’s Kitchen of Clayton Le Moors as our overall winner. Councillor McCormack, the new Hyndburn Mayor has some very interesting information about the role of the Mayor on page 21. We have had some great feedback on the driver awareness column from Adrian Shurmer and he answers some questions on page 9. We have another Mystery pub competition on page 24. This one will really test your knowledge on the pubs that appear on the Telly. We have an abundance of the usual jokes and humorous stories to keep you entertained, and we are delighted to report that our move to our new offices has been a great success. We have now settled in at our new address at The Chambers, in the old Town Hall buildings in Great Harwood town centre, and the building is filling up nicely with more businesses moving in to these very attractive offices.
