1. How did you get into your current job? We started our own business in 1992 and now I can’t escape!


2. What’s the best bit ? The flexible hours.


3. What was your first Saturday job? Labourer, for Pete Finnis - I don’t think I was very good!


4. Describe your ideal job? Professional footballer.


5. What motivates you? Financial security for the kids.


6. What irritates you? The way politicians seem to get away with telling blatant lies.


7. Who do you most admire in business and why? Those who come up with the simplest idea’s and turn them into successful businesses.


8. What was the last book you read and what did you think? I don’t read.


9. What do you do to relax? Golf, wine, children, wine, friends, wine, family, wine – and watching Newport County!


10. What dreams are you still to fulfill? To see Newport County in the football league, and seeing Wales at a World Cup – and to be 12 stone again.


11. What was the last film you saw at the cinema and what did you think? Took the kids to see Harry Potter 7, Part One - bit frustrated because there was no end


12. Favourite food and place to eat it? Everything on the menu at Zuma, Knightsbridge.


13. What car do you drive? Nissan Navarra.

14. What’s in your car’s CD player at the moment? Nothing, always on the hands free!


15. What’s your favourite TV programme (old or new)? Soccer AM (new) / Porridge (old).


16. Do you tweet? If so, how can we follow you? If not, why? No - I’m not on Twitter, Facebook or Linkedin (but you can follow Acorn on all three).


17. If you were an animal, what would you be? Our labrador (Amber) - she’s spoilt.


18. Proudest moment? Having ‘Acorn’ on the front of Newport County shirts!


19. And most embarrassing? Trying to book into the ‘L’Hotel de Ville on one of my first trips to France – not recalling at the time that it is, of course, the town hall!


20. What advice would you give to someone wanting to be successful in your line of work? Treat everyone the same – customers, suppliers and your colleagues – and be prepared to work harder than you think.
