NAME: DANIEL PLOURDE Home Town: Winnipeg Team: MOFO Position: D-line cutter Years Played: 1 Who is your most influential Ultimate

player and why? Someone who plays with a high level of intensity while still being spirited, since I haven’t seen much high level Ultimate the players who’ve influenced me the most are those on my team, and that’s what MOFO is all about. If you could be coached by anyone who

would it be and why? He was our coach at the end of this year but I’ll use him anyways. Danny Saunders is definitely up there, having him step in and coach us at the last minute wasn’t an easy task, but he did an amazing job and has my respect for that. What does “Spirit of the Game” mean to

you? It’s a huge part of the game, especially when Ultimate is completely self-regulated there’s got to be a high level of spirit to retain any sort of respectability. The most fun I have playing is when we’re against a really spirited team because everyone is still playing really hard but after each point and at the end of the game everyone is able to get along and have a great time playing.

NAME: SARA LAWLOR Home Town: Ottawa Team: RessureXion Position: D-line Cutter Years Played: 2 Photo by: Andrew Leach Who is your most influential Ultimate player and why?

My most influential Ultimate player is my coach Mike Wronski. He is supportive and encouraging and has always pushed me to be the best player that I can be. He has taught me everything I know about the game and is always willing to help me keep improving. What does “Spirit of the Game” mean to

you? To me the “Spirit of the Game” means that you have to show respect for everyone, your opponents and your own team. Having spirit also means you must enjoy the game and have fun! What is your favourite Ultimate moment? My favourite Ultimate moment would have to be winning silver at WJUC this year in Germany. It was an honour (and lots of fun) to be able to participate in this once in a lifetime experience.

NAME: DANIÈLE COTNOIR Home Town: Sherbrooke Team: Voodoo Position: D-line cutter Years Played: 1 Photo by: Michel Windsor Who is your most influential Ultimate

player and why? Vincent Houle. He is the one who helped me the most in my development. He is a great player and can play any position without a problem. Vincent helped me get into different leagues during winter so I could get better and better to get in a good team during summer. Without Vincent, I probably wouldn’t be writing this, or be playing the best sport in the world. If you could be coached by anyone who

would it be and why? I loved my coaches this summer. I wouldn’t have changed them even if I could. So my answer is Marie-France Hivert, Christopher Maxfeild, Vincent Houle

What is your favourite Ultimate moment?

When I do a layout-D. The feeling I get is awesome!
