bottles, caps & closures A GEM OF A BOTTLE FROM STO

STO Flaconnage have produced and decorated a round, 4ml gift bottle for Oriflame’s range of Gem Eau de Parfums: Petal Quartz, Diamond Musk and Amethyst Fatale Eau de Parfums. “This was an interesting project,” said Mark Devonald Smith, STO sales director for perfumery and personal care. “It’s a natural miniature to the 50ml regular bottle, which is shallow but with a large diameter,

balanced by a matching cylindrical cap which fastens onto the neck. The registrations of bottle and cap are critical to obtain a successful closure. Also, the bottle is one pass ceramic printed with a pattern of black flower heads plus the name of the fragrance. The flowers make a complete circle round the bottle and, again, registration is critical. Close cooperation between STO and the cap suppliers, Toly plastics, was needed.” For more information call 01977 607 124, email sales.uk@stoelzle.com or visit www.stoelzle.com.

Viscose Closures of Crawley have recently supplied bespoke printed crown corks to Liverpool brewery Cains for use across their range of bottled beers, including their award winning Raisin Beer. The tin plate crowns come with a PVC-free liner and are printed in 5 colours. “We had been using plain crowns from Viscose Closures for some time,” explained Sudarghara Dusanj, Managing Director of Cains, “and we found them very competitive on both price and quality when we were looking to source distinctive printed crowns.” Viscose Closures specialise in the manufacture of decorative, promotional and tamper evident sleeves as well as caps, crowns and closures. The company helps businesses who want to develop a new brand or re-launch an existing one, as well as supplying the machinery to help firms apply the entire range on their own sites.
