Kliklok announces interpack showcase

Kliklok International has announced their packaging machinery showcase for interpack 2011 in Hall 17 Stand No. A44. On show will be the company’s innovative Cascade Loader System (CLS120), a compact, stand- alone product handling unit, designed to complement Kliklok’s wide range of end load and top load cartoning equipment. The CLS uses fully adjustable 3-stage vertical rotor timing to provide collation, stacking and transfer of bags, flow-wraps, vacuum packs and sachets. It also offers stainless steel construction, compact design and colour screen for ease of operation. Integrated with the CLS will be Kliklok’s latest addition to their end load range - the SFR150 cartoner. The SFR150 was designed with a robust, fully welded stainless steel frame, easy size change facility, colour touch screen, and Kliklok’s patented rotary carton feeder, offering speeds up to 150 cartons per minute. Packaging print innovations

from Atlantic Zeiser The Atlantic Zeiser Group, a leading provider of technology, module and system solutions for industrial DoD digital printing, will showcase the new OMEGA 20/25 printing module and a new air-cooled LED curing technology at interpack 2011. The printer and curing system package can be used for horizontal and vertical printing and features a compact design. It offers powerful inline integration components for marking, coding and serialising in late-stage customisation, as well as product track & trace and anti-counterfeiting. The spot colour DoD inkjet printer, OMEGA 20/25, can cover printing widths between 20mm and 25mm, the maximum printing width required for adding markings and variable product and production information. Such information includes contents, expiry dates, warning notices, usage and consumption notes, as well as volume information in text and in different languages. The OMEGA also offers machine-readable coding of the packaging materials with the corresponding information as barcodes or 2D data matrix. In this process, check codes are printed and can be used for product tracing. The check codes can also be used to tackle the growing grey market in the pharmaceutical sector. Bringing together machine builders and manufacturers at interpack

At interpack 2011, Rockwell Automation will demonstrate how machine builders can lower their total cost to design, develop and deliver packaging machinery using a scalable, multi- disciplined control and information system. Featuring innovative control and safety capabilities, the Rockwell Automation Integrated Architecture system seamlessly integrates process to packaging machinery, helping end

users gain real-time insight into their operation and succeed in today’s knowledge-based business environment. However, Rockwell Automation will not just showcase its products and solutions offered for the packaging industry, but will also create a space for visitors and exhibitors to exchange views and ideas. Visitors to the stand will be able to attend live presentations featuring current topics for the packaging industry and get

an impression of the showcased machines equipped with Rockwell Automation technology. “Manufacturers face the ever-present challenge of integrating processing and packaging lines so product flows in a continuous, efficient manner,” said Mike Wagner, global packaging business manager, Rockwell Automation. “Machine builders that choose a fully integrated control and information platform can seamlessly bridge machinery and create an environment for their end user customers to more easily optimise line performance.” For more information visit www.rockwellautomation.com.
