Spring is here, at last. Lighter nights, warmer days, everything bursting into life, summer round the corner and every reason to start feeling good. And on top of all that we have a fun packed April edition of The Herald. We have some very special events coming up which leads us into a few features. The Rotary clubs have a couple of events with their youth leadership award on page 20, and the “Walk 4 your charity,” event on page 15. The Royal Wedding and a public holiday, Result. See page 27. The Proms are coming up in a few months which are rapidly becoming a huge event in every teenagers life. See page 6. After our little feature on Cracking Clayton last month we just had to mention Rishton, pages 18 & 19. This leads us nicely on to our major local event, The Great Harwood Show. Preparations are well underway for the third show at the New Showground. The last two years have been blessed with fabulous weather and have been nothing less than spectacular. Our countdown begins on page 8. Save The Day - 30th May. Those in the know - will be at the show. 144th Great Harwood Show. Spring Bank Holiday Monday 30th May.
