ley, 81, of Hobson Branch Road, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011. He was born in Madi- son County to the late Eli and Ella Crawford Hensley and had lived in Buncombe County 51 years. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Verlin Metcalf. He was a member of Forks of Ivy Baptist Church and was retired from Shaw Industries and a re- tired farmer. Surviving are his wife Mamie

Hyatt, age 75, of West Asheville died Monday, Jan. 10, 2011. Mr. Hyatt was born May 4, 1935,


in Buncombe County where he had lived all of his life. He retired from Magnavox/Phillip Consum- er Electronics and Alliance Caro- lina. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of West Asheville Baptist Church. He en- joyed bluegrass music, playing the fiddle and guitar and per- forming on the radio in his earlier days. After graduating from the Univer- sity of Washington with a degree in accounting, Mr. Eggan worked for Haskins and Sells CPA Firm and retired from Deloitte CPA Firm as the partner in charge of the Southeast US in 1985 after 29 years. He was a former Kiwanian. He was involved with Habitat for Humanity and Meals on Wheels. Mr. Eggan was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Wagon Train golfing group at the Asheville Country Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Melford and Esther Guernsey Eggan. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy
