Ottis Jerry Hensley Weaverville - Ottis Jerry Hens-
ley, 81, of Hobson Branch Road, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011. He was born in Madi- son County to the late Eli and Ella Crawford Hensley and had lived in Buncombe County 51 years. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Verlin Metcalf. He was a member of Forks of Ivy Baptist Church and was retired from Shaw Industries and a re- tired farmer. Surviving are his wife Mamie

Hyatt, age 75, of West Asheville died Monday, Jan. 10, 2011. Mr. Hyatt was born May 4, 1935,
in Buncombe County where he had lived all of his life. He retired from Magnavox/Phillip Consum- er Electronics and Alliance Caro- lina. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of West Asheville Baptist Church. He en- joyed bluegrass music, playing the fiddle and guitar and per- forming on the radio in his earlier days. Mr. Hyatt was preceded in death by his parents, Lucious and Harriett Randolph Hyatt, two sisters and one brother. Surviving are his wife of 47

After graduating from the Univer- sity of Washington with a degree in accounting, Mr. Eggan worked for Haskins and Sells CPA Firm and retired from Deloitte CPA Firm as the partner in charge of the Southeast US in 1985 after 29 years. He was a former Kiwanian. He was involved with Habitat for Humanity and Meals on Wheels. Mr. Eggan was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. Greene County, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Banks; father, Otis Banks; brother, Paul Banks; Grandson, Jeff Wilson; and beloved husband, Fred Hollifield. Surviving are her two daughters,
