The Governing Body of the school is made up of representatives of the Church, staff, parents, and the local community. It has two overarching responsibilities. First, it must ensure that the curriculum is such that the children receive the best possible education to achieve high standards. Secondly, it is required to make best provision within the budget that is allocated by the Local Authority.


The Governing Body usually meets twice a term with additional meetings for its sub-committees and working parties. The school is keen to encourage parents/carers to join the Governing Body and all parents/carers who are interested are asked to contact the Head Teacher or members of the Governing Body to discuss this. A list of members of the Governing Body is enclosed at the back of the prospectus.
