Educational Needs Inclusion and personal

development are an integral part of the spiritual and educational ethos at our school.

The care and development of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Additional Educational Needs (AEN) forms an important part of the pastoral and educational care offered. We have a dedicated SEN governor, who monitors all SEN work and related matters, and employ an Inclusion Worker. The school maintains a register of children with additional educational needs (SEN, Gifted and Talented, Looked After). When appropriate, the school uses the help and advice of external professionals such as an Educational Psychologist or Speech and Language Therapist to enable us to provide the best possible care and guidance for identified needs.

Children with disabilities are welcome in our school. When identified, reasonable adaptations to the teaching arrangements will be made. The school has a disability toilet on the ground floor of Francis building. The accessibility plan is included at the back of this booklet.
