Certification of award attainment

On formal approval of an award by a Programme Assessment Board all graduates will be issued with an Award Certificate and Final Transcript (Certificate of Professional Development students will receive only an Award Certificate) and a Diploma Supplement report will be made available. To this end the University maintains an accessible record of students' formally moderated marks and final awards; such documentation is subject to LJMU’s document retention and archiving policies.

The name published on your final award documentation will be the name with which you formally registered with the University. Any changes to your name and/or title while you are enrolled at the University must be supported by appropriate documentation. Please note: in order to safeguard the security of LJMU’s awards, once an award is formally conferred, names cannot be changed retrospectively.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the University is in possession of your up-to-date permanent home address details as this is where award documentation will be issued. Award certificates and final transcripts are valuable legal documents which the University can reproduce for a charge.

For further information see https://buyonline.ljmu.ac.uk/browse/category.asp?compid=1&modid=1&catid=1042.

In addition the University provides written confirmation awards and attendance to both graduates and third parties.

Please note: progress reports detailing modules studied and marks attained are available to you once the marks have been finalised via the Blackboard portal.

Erasmus

Erasmus gives you the opportunity to study in a European University for a period from three to ten months. There are no additional fees to pay and a ‘learning agreement’ gives you recognition of your time spent abroad.

The scheme is open to undergraduates and postgraduates of all disciplines. Non-language students need not worry about their linguistic ability, as there are a number of universities that offer tuition in English. Erasmus also supports work placements too at an organisation of any size in Europe.

All Erasmus students receive a grant to help with the costs of their placement of approximately €350 for each month away.

Currently, LJMU has over 100 partnerships with other European universities. If none of these are suitable then we will attempt to open a new partnership, with the support of your tutor and School, to place you in a University that will give you the best opportunities for academic and personal growth.

If you are interested in finding out more please talk to your personal tutor during your first year of study.
