Ahhh February. The month of romance and hope and expectation, with Valentine’s day just around the corner, the snow drops showing the first signs of spring, and on top of all that, we have the highlight of the month — — “National chip week.” ( See page 6.) Talking of the first signs of life, we are all looking forward to seeing a spectacular display of the Purple crocuses marking the Rotary Club’s world wide battle against Polio. See page 18. With romance and flowers in mind we have a few pages on wedding things, 10 & 11, for those people considering tying the knot. Last Month’s Schools drawing competition gave us quite a shock at the high level of response with votes flooding in with as many as 50 on one day alone. Wow!!! We have details on page 2. Enjoy.
