1917 d. January 2, 1983 Comedian. Immensely popular British television comedian of the 1970s. Born Richard Gilbert Emery, he was best known for "The Dick Emery Show" of the 70s, and his catchphrase "Ooh, you are awful... but I like you"!.


Harry H Corbett b. Feb. 28, 1925 d Mar. 21, 1982 Actor. Born in Burma to British parents, he moved to England as a child. Following service with the Royal Marines in World War II. He appeared in over 20 films, but best remembered for his role in the long-running TV series "Steptoe and Son", in which he starred with Wilfred Bramble. In his last years he suffered from heart disease, the cause of his death at 57.
