Sponselee recalls his initial startup. “I told Dustin that I would go out and call on the ho- tel concierges and bellmen, and he could stand by and take all the phone calls; but for the first two weeks, the phone never rang once,” he says with a chuckle. Although warmly received


by the hospitality industry, par- ticularly those with their own green policies in place, it took Sponselee two weeks of selling from 5 a.m. to midnight to finally get a flood of phone calls. “We finished 2008, our first year, at just $100,000 with three cars. In 2010 with nine cars, we did $800,000 in business,” advises Sponselee, who adds, “Now we are ready to expand our transpor- tation solutions into Los Angeles and Orange counties, because they are right next door.” Terramoto provides airport meet-and-greets, curbside pick- ups and drop-offs, point-to-point transfers and hourly charters. They also offer hybrid Toyota Highlanders for larger group transportation needs. The com- pany is a charter member of the New Environmentally Responsible Alliance of Transportation (New ERA of Transportation), a green transportation coalition whose members are committed to ensur- ing their day-to-day operations maintain environmentally friendly practices.
