How “hands on” do you plan to be with the business? ATRONIC has an impressive team of people with extensive experience in gaming and technology. They’re the experts in their respective areas. My role as CEO is to provide a clear vision and direction for those teams, and then to make sure they have the tools and support they need to exceed our customers’ expectations. That doesn’t mean I’ll be issuing directives from an ivory tower. Clarity of vision comes when you understand how people do their jobs, and what they need to get the job done – and you can’t gather that understanding from being in the corner office all the time. As soon as my role officially began last summer, I travelled to as many different offices with the organization as I could to learn about our companies – and as I continue to communicate with our employees, I learn more every day. By making time to visit, for example, the development labs and production floor, I get a much broader view of what our people need to be at their best. So if by “hands on” you mean continuously gathering information from the folks who are at the heart of our business activity, and using that information to remove barriers to achieving excellence, then yes, I consider myself a “hands- on” leader. My goal is to ensure that our collective vision and mission is well-informed and truly integrated, and that our team has the resources it needs to consistently give its best.


Atronic’s new OXYGEN Cabinets are proving popular. What were the primary priorities in their design and development? We believe they offer an innovative approach to performance-driven features that operators and players want. In our design approach for the new cabinet generation we wanted an attractive package that appeals to players, and our designers have created an elegant exterior. Reliability and

innovation were also a critical element in the engineering – for instance, OXYGEN features our new sensys EP™ platform, which is powerful and robust, yet easy to service. We recognize the importance of open industry standards, which is why OXYGEN features Game to System® (G2S®) compatible hardware, so it’s network-gaming ready, and supports all major casino systems and player tracking modules. We’ve also heightened the entertainment value in these new cabinets with dual 22-inch TFT screens, powerful graphics, rich sound and advanced ergonomics. OXYGEN is being launched with the full range of game concepts, from proven, top-performing core games to exciting multi-level and multi-bonus progressive links as well as stand-alone and linked multigames, Roulette and Bingo. Overall, OXYGEN is a refreshing approach to gaming.
