An historic 13th century castle in The Netherlands has reopened as a 26-room hotel featuring bespoke carpets woven by Desso. Designed by some of Holland’s leading interior designers and managed by students from the Hotel Management School, Maastricht, the Chateau offers an innovative perspective of how the hospitality industry can integrate academic and practical management training. Desso’s commitment to the hospitality sector also goes beyond design and durability to incorporate new levels of functionality. For example, the company has started supplying its new SoundMaster® carpet tiles to hotels. Partly made from recycled materials, the carpet backing is designed to improve
