The Journal - Army families’ own magazine The AFF publishes a quarterly magazine, the Journal, which promotes communica- tion between Army families, wherever they live, on issues which affect their lives. It is full of interesting articles and useful information, keeping families up-to-date, and includes a lively letters column which brings current issues to the fore. Giving families the chance to ask their own questions AFF holds a bi-ennial Families Conference in London (with a similar event held in Germany in the intervening years), open to all Army families. The event offers a chance to hear from and ask questions of senior military personnel, politicians and executives from relevant agencies and departments.


In other Branch areas, discussion groups and roadshows afford families the chance to raise questions and concerns regarding their Army family life to AFF and repre- sentatives from the local chain of command and welfare support agencies.
