Staffordshire 10 Medical & Dental
Medical and dental arrangements for the wives and children of Servicemen in the UK are made through the National Health Service (NHS). The Unit Medical Officer looks after all Servicemen, including married personnel.
It is essential that wives and children register with a doctor as soon as possible after your arrival, don’t wait until you are ill! You must also register with a dentist who is willing to provide treatment under the NHS. In many areas NHS Dentists are difficult to find and you may need to register with a private dentist. Because of the wide area covered it is not possible to list all available doctors and dentists but your local Post Office will hold a full list of those near to your SFA. Failing that, families can acquire information, online, from the website
www.nhs.uk
