Woodfin Two Hands offers fundraising opportunities
By Matt Tate Ever wanted to donate but just
couldn’t find the spare change? Instead of scrounging through
a purse, a Woodfin business en- courages searching through a closet. Two Hands Community Con-
signment offers anyone consign- ing there an opportunity to do- nate their commissions to a local charity of their choice, such as Grace for Hope, a group that
buys Subway gift cards and hands them out to the homeless. Owner Amee Perrin said it is
important to build community through merchants. Two Hands also donates spare change dona- tions to a different charity each month as well as donating unsold items. Two Hands works as a tradi-
tional 60/40 cash split between the business and the consigner in addition to a 50/50 split for store
credit. Perrin took over the space in
the Bellagio Bistro shopping cen- ter on Weaverville Road in Janu- ary. After spending much of her career in marketing, she said she decided to take an opportunity on a new venture. Two Hands is open from 10
am to 6 pm Tuesday through Sat- urday. It can be reached at 645- 0123 or online at 2handsconsign-
ment.com.
