Padiham Football Club With non-league football clubs all over the country struggling financially and clubs going to the wall almost every week, what a great idea it was to hold a non-league day on Sept, 4th and invite all supporters of Premiership and Championship Clubs who had no fixtures that day to pop down to their local non -league club and give them some extra support. At Padiham it was fantastic to see some of the Burnley supporters turn up to watch the storks play Flixton and what a game they saw, with Padiham winning the game 5-3. Hopefully some of those who turned up might return and even bring a friend. Off the pitch, Padiham Football Club are holding their Annual Sportsmans Dinner at Turf Moor on Thursday 25th November when Dean Saunders is the guest speaker, Tony Roscoe the evenings comedian and Andy Ashworth the Master of Ceremonies. Padiham Football Clubs home fixtures in October are on Saturday 9th October against St Helens Town, kick-off at 3.00 p.m. and Wednesday 20th October against Rossendale United, kick-off 7.45 p.m. Padiham have five away fixtures in October.
Padiham Bric a Brac Market.
The Market is held on Thursdays from 8am-2pm, with many different stalls, children’s clothes, bric-a-brac, pet food, hand made-cards, hand-made jewellery, electrical goods,
toiletries, sewing items, home goods,
cake stalls. There is also a cafe where you can get hot or cold food and drinks. New stall holders are always welcome, say someone with fruit or veg, or home made candles. It is known for being a happy bunch of traders who all get on well together and are always ready for a laugh, which brings that special entertainment to the shopping experience. All this is held in the ballroom of Padiham town Hall, and with it coming up to Christmas a chance to get rid of all your old toys and items you don,t want.
