Tis article and the 2011 All-State Conference mark the end of my tenure as Band Division Vice-President. I would like to thank everyone for giving me the opportunity to serve you for the last six years. It has been the most professionally enriching experience of my career. I would also like to thank the District Band Representatives, both past and present, for their hard work in each of their districts and for giving each of you a voice at the state level. Kris Cox will begin her tenure as the IMEA Band Division Vice-President following the 2011 IMEA Convention. I strongly encourage all of you to serve in our state organization, whether it is as a representative, a state officer, a festival or audition site host, or someone who offers a helping hand. You will have the oppor- tunity to work with some of the greatest people in the State of Illinois! I hope this school year continues to be a great and rewarding experience for you and your students. Tank you so very much and I look forward to seeing you in Peoria.
