24th January 2009 CHARITY RACE NIGHT

Footnote to the third annual CHARITY RACE NIGHT

By event Organizer Rtn Ray Hamilton W W

e did it again - Thanks to all who contrib- uted to make the January 2009 Race night

another successful fund raising event for the Club and for our chosen Charities!

e fell short on ticket sales this year by 46 and that reflected the takings from the Raf-

fle, Tote, and Auction but deciding on an extra race proved useful in improving the profit.

ace Sponsorship and Adverts were also down from 18 last year to 14.5, but Ron Geggus

and I made successful approaches to our regulars and several new sponsors.

onsidering we are in the middle of a recession, we are very grateful for the continued

support from those that responded. W

e fully understand that it is tough out there and we wish all our business supporters a

speedy return to normality.
