e knew we were in for another exciting,


funny and inspired talk as soon as Bob boomed out his fantastic grace -- "Oh Lord look down on these miserable sinners


as they sit down to eat there dinners ............"


Thursday 2nd July 2009 P June was the Number 1 saviour and assistant to


our chefs in the kitchen and when she retired at the end of May this quiet and effi- cient lady was presented with a bouquet of flowers. She was another of those behind the scenes workers who does a fantastic job of sorting out problems with- out any fuss.


resident Brian presented our popular waitress Emma with a Bouquet of Flowers and our


best wishes as it was her last day at the Lodge. Emma is leaving to to take up the position of Duty Manager at the Safron Waldon Hotel Our loss is their gain.

ost of us had never seen June


as it was her colleagues, who serve us so well, who pointed out how much she did and how much she would be missed.

and hope she is enjoying her retirement.

he Reverend Bob always talks with pas-


sion and this one about the historical city of Siena was no exception. It certainly made a number of the Rotarian‟s put 'a visit to Siena' on their 'to do list‟. I can't wait for his next visit.
