The Trust’s beneficiaries are:- • Schools, Further Education and Higher Education establishments who receive funding to enhance and enrich the quality of hospitality training and education they provide.


• Industry associations and charitable organisations who receive funding for specific hospitality related educational projects and schemes.


• Individuals studying hospitality either directly from the Trust or through grants awarded to Further Education and Higher Education establishments. • Participants of Hospitality Skills Competitions and Prizes.


2b Where the benefit is to a section of the public, the opportunity to benefit must not be unreasonably restricted by geographical or other restrictions; or by the ability to pay any fees As outlined in the body of this review significant numbers of people benefit from the Trust’s activities. There are no restrictions, geographical or otherwise, provided that the project and/or individual supported fall within the aim of the Trust.


2c People in poverty must not be excluded from the opportunity to benefit The Savoy Educational Trust is a grant giving charitable trust. There are no exclusions due to the inability to pay fees.


2d Any private benefits must be incidental The financial benefits received by individuals through grants are seen as incidental to the educational purposes of the Trust. All Trustees give their time freely.

The Trustees have addressed the area of risk assessment in order to identify the major risks, possible risks and remote risks to which the Savoy Educational Trust is exposed and have reviewed the systems in place to manage those risks.

The logo and wording ‘The Savoy Educational Trust’ are registered trademarks. Grant recipients are provided with specific protocols which they must follow should they wish to display the logo and name on any marketing and PR material for projects for which they have received funding.
