The Trustees anticipate an increase in applications for funding. This is as much because (a) the Trust will have a more proactive communications policy; (b) previous recessions have shown that demands on charities are inversely correlated to the health of the economy; and (c) the impact from the funding crisis that has engulfed the Learning and Skills Council in relation to educational establishments. The Trustees will continue to give emphasis to projects that support one or more of the following areas: skills development, continuous professional development, and retention.
