into a completed building or facility that people can use and enjoy,” Crisalli said, adding that the company goes out of its way to accommodate its customer construction requirements. “We try to serve our client’s needs in all aspects of the planning, design and construction process.” This method of serving clients is reiterated in the com- pany mission statement: “Our company mission is to serve our clients with ex- cellence, building high quality, environmentally respon- sible, socially conscientious projects, on budget and on time.” In 2009, G.M. Crisalli & Associates saw a 20 percent growth over the previous year. This year, the company hopes to exceed its goals by 10 percent. Now, only four months into 2010, Crisalli said it looks like another prom- ising year. When asked how the company had obtained a leader-
ship position in the construction industry, Crisalli said the people are the strength of the company. Crisalli noted that a good number of the people at G.M. Crisalli & Associ- ates have been involved with the company for more than 10 years. Paone has been with the company for more than 19 years. This is indicative of the excellent relationship

the company has with its personnel. “The company keeps a comfortable work environment
for its personnel,” Crisalli said. “This includes respect for each individual and their environment while they work to meet the tasks associated with deadlines for projects. Deadlines of all types are inherent to the construction in- dustry. The construction process has its built-in stresses so we try to keep the atmosphere light while we’re work- ing.” As a hands-on business owner, Crisalli said he visits job sites frequently while maintaining day-to-day operations. G.M. Crisalli & Associates are involved community advocates supporting Syracuse and surrounding area in a variety of ways. The company assists in the mentoring of new contractors and assists in the training of individu- als interested in getting into the construction field. In this way, they feel they are contributing to Syracuse becom- ing reestablished as a vibrant economic center in New York state. The company managed the construction and contributed to the building of the Blodgett Dream Cen- ter, a library inside one of the neediest elementary school facilities in the city of Syracuse. It has also contributed to Upstate Medical University, the Children’s Miracle Network, St. Joseph’s Hospital, and the Mercy Works Vi- sion Center – all located in the heart of Syracuse. The company is also a corporate sponsor for the events of the Carol Baldwin Breast Cancer Foundation and contributes to various other benevolent organizations in the Central New York area.
